Photographic memories, slavishly drawn, are shattered until a hole is left, an emptiness drifting towards the an-iconic, thus providing a metaphor for the unrecognizability, and/or the oblivion, of the past. Intentional or fatal, chosen or suffered? Whatever the answer, a once and for all separation since what survives of this past are just some heaps of paper scoriæ, silent ashes to be left behind with no regret in order to allow the artist to continue his free trip towards the future. The scoriae volume is larger than the fragments effectively “torn”.
Memorie fotografiche, pedissequamente disegnate sono frantumate sino a lasciare un vuoto, deriva di aniconicità, metafora dell’irriconoscibilità, e/o dell’oblio, del passato. Oblio intenzionale o fatale, scelto o subìto? Come che sia, una separazione definitiva, perché del passato non restano che mucchi di scorie, ceneri mute, abbandonate tuttavia senza rimpianto affinché il viaggio prosegua. Nel residuo si materializza un volume di frammenti maggiore di quanto realmente ’’strappato’’.
